Why a Dandelion?

We chose the humble dandelion as our logo for a few simple reasons:

Though not universal, it grows in every temperate climate zone, an area that includes the bulk of the population of our planet, and is readily identifiable to people around the world.
In many parts of the world, it’s considered a weed and actively suppressed. Our message is just like one of those tufted seeds carried on the wind, looking for a small spot to grow. With just a minimum of encouragement, the plant’s root pushes deep into the surrounding soil, and once established, it becomes very difficult to dislodge, just like our message.
Though many consider the dandelion a weed, the leaves are edible and have been used for centuries in the diet of humans. We hope you consider the message of OneWorldUndivided to be food for the soul in these dark days.
